Как-то было дело до установки скайпа на восьмую фрю, но как известно скайп 1.2 не поддержживается, а предлагаемый портами скайп 2.0 сломан.
для установки использовал:
developer# pkg_info | grep linux_base
linux_base-f10-10_2 Base set of packages needed in Linux mode for i386/amd64
далее качаем по ссылке:
http://download191.mediafire.com/xlttg85xy4ug/2ydhmj4yo3i/skype_static-2.0.0.72-oss.tar.bz2
и ложим в дистфайлс.
Установка:
developer# make TRYBROKEN=yes -C /usr/ports/net/skype install
===> Vulnerability check disabled, database not found
===> License check disabled, port has not defined LICENSE
Trying build of skype-2.0.0.72,1 even though it is marked BROKEN.

ATTENTION!
Skype requires at least linux_base-fc6
which is NOT default at this time.

Если при запуске не работает микрофон, делаем из-под юзверя:
%mixer mic
%mixer rec
если всё стоит по нулям (Mixer mic is currently set to 0:0
Mixer rec is currently set to 0:0)
устанвливаем значения. я делал так:
%mixer rec 50:50
Setting the mixer rec from 0:0 to 50:50.
%mixer mic 50:50
Setting the mixer mic from 0:0 to 50:50.
готово, наслаждайтесь счастьем.
